In 2014, I started my MBA program at the University of Greenwich.
While I was studying, I also began working at the university as a Standards and Partners Officer, helping oversee university programs around the world.
That role opened my eyes quickly.
Students outside the UK were working hard to earn their degrees, but many of them were dealing with problems they could not control. Course materials were not always managed properly.
Grades needed to be reviewed across different countries. Program standards had to be checked and improved.
And for the students, it could feel confusing, stressful, and unfair.
I saw how much pressure people feel when they are trying to move forward in life, but the process around them is unclear.
I knew there had to be a better way.
So I helped create an appeal system that allowed overseas students to have their grades reviewed by on-campus professors.
It gave them a clearer path, a fairer process, and more confidence that someone was looking out for them.
That experience shaped the way I lead today.
